Cinnamon Loaf

SIMPLE.....MOIST....DELICIOUS.....

Everything you want in a loaf.....SIMPLE CINNAMON LOAF will deliver.

I found this recipe in one of my favorite cookbooks and I've been making this

simple Cinnamon Loaf ever since.

 Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
Topping :
  • 2 Tbsp Cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup Sugar

STEP 1: Preheat oven to 350F. Grease 2 loaf pans.
Make topping by mixing cinnamon and sugar together and set aside.

STEP 2: In a large bowl cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at the time and beat until creamy.

STEP 3: In a medium bowl combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

STEP 4: In a small bowl combine vanilla and buttermilk.

STEP 5: Alternately add the dry mix and buttermilk mix into the batter.

STEP 6: Pour 1/2 the batter into greased loaf pans (1/4 in each). Sprinkle with 1/2 the topping stirring a little. Cover with remaining batter and sprinkle with remaining topping. Once again stir a little.

STEP 7: Bake for 40-45 minutes or until done.

I love warm cinnamon bread with butter, I could eat half a loaf at one sitting just by myself. But my waist doesn't like that. =)
Thanks so much for linking up with us, I'm looking forward to what you have to share next week.
Hope you are enjoying your summer.
